CARBON LASER PEEL TREATMENT
A carbon laser peel combines two treatments that are usually done separately. A layer of medical grade liquid carbon is applied and left to settle into the pores, where it acts as the peel, binding to oil, dead cells and debris. The laser then passes over the skin, and as it lifts the carbon away it delivers its own light energy into the skin, brightening tone and controlling oil. One session, two mechanisms, no downtime.

The carbon is only a target. What decides the outcome is how evenly the layer is applied, how long it is allowed to settle into the pore, and what energy the laser is set to for your skin tone. Set too low it becomes a surface cleanse with a light pass. Set too high on brown skin it delivers heat where it was never intended. No, and the name misleads a great many people. Unlike a chemical peel there is no shedding and no flaking. Most patients notice mild redness for an hour or two and nothing further, which is why it fits around an ordinary working week.
It is generally well tolerated on brown skin when the carbon is applied evenly and the energy is set conservatively. The risk on deeper skin tones is heat delivered too aggressively, which can leave temporary darkening. That is a question of settings and supervision rather than of the treatment itself.
It brightens overall dullness, superficial tan and uneven tone, and it is often used as part of a skin lightening plan. Melasma and deeper sun damage sit below the level this treatment works at and are assessed and treated separately.
Most patients are advised a short course spaced two to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance. Oily skin produces oil again, so the treatment controls congestion rather than ending it. The number is discussed before you commit to anything.
