Not dryness. Not dirt. Inflammation.
How Anti Dandruff Treatment Restores Scalp Health
Dandruff is not a hygiene problem and it is rarely a dryness problem. A yeast lives on every scalp, harmlessly for most people, and in some it provokes an inflammatory response, the scalp sheds too quickly, and flakes, redness and itching follow. Washing more often or scrubbing harder does not address that, and frequently makes it worse.
Treatment works by controlling the yeast and settling the inflammation, using prescribed medicated shampoo and topical treatment applied correctly. The condition is chronic and recurring, so it is managed rather than cured, and it usually settles within weeks once the right treatment is used properly.
Suitable for adults in New Town, Kolkata with persistent flaking, an itchy or oily scalp, redness, or dandruff that returns whenever treatment stops.

A Stronger Shampoo Is Rarely the Answer
Patients arrive having worked through six bottles, each stronger than the last, with an increasingly irritated scalp to show for it. Dandruff does not respond to force; it responds to the right treatment used correctly and long enough. At LUMORA Clinic, the scalp is examined and diagnosed first, treatment is prescribed for what is actually there, and you are shown how to use it.

Frequently Asked Questions
A yeast present on everyone’s scalp, which in some people provokes inflammation. Oil production, individual susceptibility, weather and stress all influence how badly it flares. It is not caused by poor hygiene.
Because it is a chronic condition rather than an infection you clear once. Treatment brings it under control, and a maintenance routine keeps it there. Stopping entirely is usually what brings it back.
It can cause shedding, through inflammation and scratching, and that shedding generally recovers once the scalp settles. It does not cause permanent baldness. If your hair is thinning for other reasons, that is a separate matter and will be assessed separately.
Usually the opposite. Regular washing with the treatment prescribed helps control it, provided the shampoo is left on long enough to work. Washing less tends to allow oil and flakes to accumulate.
No. The yeast involved lives on everyone’s skin already. Dandruff reflects how your scalp responds to it, not something caught from another person.
