Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid injectable that spreads through the skin rather than staying where it is placed. A filler adds volume to a specific area; Profhilo hydrates the skin and stimulates collagen to improve its overall quality. It will not lift or reshape.
The standard course is two sessions about four weeks apart. Your dermatologist will advise on maintenance after that, usually every six months or so.
It is injected at a small number of set points, so the session is short. Small raised bumps appear at those points and typically settle within a day. Mild bruising is possible.
Skin usually looks more hydrated within a couple of weeks, with firmness and texture improving over four to eight weeks as collagen builds — most visible after the second session.
Most often the face, and also the neck, décolletage and hands, where crepey skin is common. Your dermatologist will confirm what suits you.
